About The Mix

Soular Powered 2 is another aproach to modern urban music, this time it is filtered through soulful prism and presents the vibe cultivated by BUG - a young, London based producer, keyboard player, remixer and songwriter. This version is extremely soulful, increasingly vocal and cool in a warm way. At the moments it seems like R.Kelly made colaboration with J.Dilla, or Portishead finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel or Stewie Wonder decided to make Beats. But forget comparisons, MJ mix No 142 doesn't fit in concrete categories, although has very clear character. Lots of silky grooves, smooth but steady bass lines, deep melodies and enough space to be used for various purposes - from slow moving to a vibration of a club soundsystem to fast running in a fog covered field.
Refreshing is a word that comes in mind the most while listening to this mix.
