About The Mix
For those, interested in alternative things, Japan is somewhat of a trusted source. That's why Mondayjazz feels lucky to have a fresh fish from that direction. And it's all thanks to
fitzambro$e from Tokyo and his piece called CP4.
The mix brings breathing beats raising emotions, that in general can be named as hope. Musical core is based around boogie things like modern
electro funk, stuff influenced by
g-funk,
p-funk etc. plus a little bit of
hip-hop, some mature rhythms and motives in-between. Spicing mostly includes old school synhts and drum machines.
An excellent compilation to groove to on a sunny day while cruising in a car.
And for the ending, some of authors thoughts on this mix, that might clarify the whole concept:
"it's kinda feel good party vibe... just about fun really... I think this mix plays more out like some sort of story rather than trying to be something cool/hip or tastemaking. I played a slightly different version of this mix at a party in Tokyo last weekend. Myself, Ichiro_ and Dai Kurihara were the guests for the party. The event is Cosmopolyphonic and it was the 4th edition of the party. Thats why title is CP4".
