About The Mix
Vote for Jazz
The working class is always edgy and that is the beauty of it. Even if it changing from a conveyor to a creative computer. The idea is basically the same. And “the revolution won't be televised” it will be streamed from the net. Well, maybe.
It's not our Independence Day that forces us to talk about politics. It is a social anthropologist and musician from Vienna –
Markus Hollenstein.
He dropped us a clue that this compilation, which he recorded for Mondayjazz is truly a Monday compilation as he created it on Monday after a hard working day.
"Vote for jazz" talks... It talks a lot about the world, war, peace, freedom and the Revolution.
Hollenstein collects political and social messages from different countries and times. We can call these messages politics that come from simple people. After all, music is and always will be the media to speak and to be heard.
"Vote for Jazz" stirs together the old tunes of soulful jazz, with the new school of jazz house, nu jazz and trip hop. It wakes you up perfectly and makes you think about the World. It all comes from the beauty of music.
